Bereavement Ministry

The Bereavement Ministry of MMR and St. Stanislaus
The Bereavement Ministry of St. Stanislaus, in partnership with Mary Mother of the Redeemer (MMR) Parish, seeks to address the emotional needs of those who are suffering from the loss of a loved one and are beginning to rebuild their lives.  As non-professional lay persons, we provide compassionate and caring companionship on the journey of grief through listening and friendship.  We offer monthly grief support groups (typically on the 2nd Thursday of each month – a morning session at 10am at MMR and an evening session at 7pm at St. Stan’s) and other bereavement support throughout the year.

At any point, if you would like to talk to someone who understands what you are going through, please reach out to Jennifer Breen at 215-896-2720 or email her at Jennifer_no9@yahoo.com.

Yes, YOU can minister to the bereaved
Are you a good listener?  Do you have a compassionate ear?  Would you consider walking with someone on their grief journey?  If so, the Bereavement Ministry might be a good place for you to serve God and your neighbor.  You can find out more about ministering to the bereaved by viewing the video below.  Contact Jennifer Breen at 215-896-2720 or jennifer_no9@yahoo.com to learn more about grief support opportunities.
