Liturgical Service Opportunities

Opportunities are available for parishioners interested in participating in liturgical ministries as follows

Altar Servers
Altar Servers assist our Priests and Deacons during Mass and other Liturgical Ceremonies. Altar Servers carry the Cross and Candles and bring the Chalice, the Ciboriums & the Cruets  up to the Altar to the Deacon or Priest.  They also help at Mass by ringing the bells and help the Deacon and Priest to put the Sacred vessels away.  Altar Serving is the Ministry that allows Lay Ministers to most closely participate in the Mass, help Father and demonstrate and promote prayerful reverence for our parishioners. If interested, please Contact Fr. Jonathan, 215-855-3133.

Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist
Our St. Stan’s Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion joyfully serve our Parish by helping our Priests and Deacons to distribute Holy Communion at Mass.   Holy Communion is also the center of our home visits where we hold short prayer services for shut-in’s and Nursing Homes where either individual room visits are made or a Group Prayer Service is conducted by an EM team. We love to welcome new Extraordinary Ministers into our St Stans family; if you are interested in joining us please contact Deacon Tony Bellitto at abellitto@verizon.net

Lectors

Lectors proclaim the Word of God as written in the Old and New Testament.  Assignments generally occur once or twice a month and Mass preferences are honored.  A lector workbook provides guidance for the readings.  If interested in obtaining more specific information or joining, contact John Henry at jbhenry16@gmail.com or 267-449-1584.

Music Ministry
Many musical opportunities exist at St. Stanislaus, and there is always room for more musicians and singers, including cantors. Please visit the “Music Ministry” tab on the home page for all the details.

Offertory Gift Bearers
Would you like to participate in the celebration of Mass in a more active way? You are invited to participate in the privilege of serving as Offertory Gift Bearers at the Saturday Vigil or Sunday Masses. This could be an opportunity for you to mark a special event or anniversary while participating in Mass in a deeper way. Sign up online here.

Ushers
Ushers arrive about 10 minutes prior to Mass and check in with the team captain at the back of the church.  Additional help is always welcome, especially during special Masses on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Easter, and Holy Days of Obligation. Time commitment is your Mass attendance. Please consider joining one of our teams. Any questions may be directed to Fr. Jonathan at 215-855-3133
